The face behind Parts & Accessories by NC

Hello there. I'm Amy D, the (wo)man behind the curtain of Forged Mettle Jewelry.

I've been creating with just about any medium I could get my hands on ever since I was little, but clay was always my favorite. As I grew up I started to lean towards working with metals. My late father was a mechanic, so maybe that had something to do with it.

Then in about 2008 I discovered Metal Clay, which brings together the best of both clay and metal work. Back then, there weren't many options to learn how to work with metal clay, there were only a couple workshops that would teach the basics, so for the most part I'm entirely self-taught. And in 2013 I even became a Certified Metal Clay Artisan.

The majority of my work has an industrial feel, (in case you couldn't tell by the name) but I also like to play around with a few other styles as well, so don't be surprised if you find some Medieval and Sci-Fi designs mixed in while browsing the site.
